Hi, I'm Nick Lobello and I'm honored to formally announce my candidacy for Jefferson County Coroner. When an unexpected, untimely death occurs, it represents more than individual tragedy, it creates a deep loss felt by beloved family, friends, and our community as a whole. The Coroner's Office serves a crucial role by impartially seeking the unbiased truth on behalf of the deceased, providing answers to legal-next-of-kin, and addressing broader legal and public health interests. With years of experience, dedication, and true passion for the field, I understand the value and importance of community-based collaboration, and fostering positive relationships to accomplish these goals. It is with this understanding that I offer a clear vision for the office, founded on professionalism, compassion, and integrity.
I invite you to get to know me and see what the Office of the Coroner is really about. I am happy to meet with you personally or with any affiliated group or organization. I would be honored to earn your support as your next Jefferson County Coroner.

-
Professional and compassionate public service.
I'm committed to ensuring the highest level of care, professionalism, and compassion to our decedents, their families, and our community. Through careful planning, innovative solutions, and a focus on operational efficiency, I will ensure the continuance of exceptional service all while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
-
Staff Advocacy; fostering support, growth, and retention.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office proudly showcases an incredible team of highly skilled medicolegal death investigators and support staff, renowned for their professionalism, compassion, and expertise. However, recent challenges like the pandemic, increased workloads, and financial constraints, have put pressure on morale, competitive pay, and work-life balance. I plan to continue the spirit of collaboration among staff and county departments to advocate for and foster the staff's support, growth and retention required to achieve its mission.

-
Enhance collaborative and cooperative working relationships with our public health, public safety and funeral industry partners.
The independence of the Coroner's Office is vital for conducting unbiased, thorough, and accurate death investigations that comply with legal and professional standards. However, this independence must be balanced with effective collaboration and cooperation with other public agencies to best serve the community. I am committed to fostering these partnerships and ensuring that the citizens of Jefferson County receive only the highest level of care and service.
Most Experienced. Most Qualified.
The CLEAR choice for Jefferson County!

Thank You for Your Support!
Together we can ensure the absolute highest levels of care and compassion for our dead, their family, friends, and loved ones, as well as the citizens of Jefferson County.
